I feel like FDR in 1938, when he was seeking administrative help. Was not attempting to widen the powers of the presidency, but rather, he was telling congress. If you’re going to abdicate responsibility to the executive, I need more help in doing so. That should have been cong.

The presidency is quickly becoming the only job in the world, where past experience is a bad thing. This must change if things are to ever pass Congress, there’s an art to handling the levers of democracy. You either are an artist, or you’re not, we need more proven artists 🤷♂️

Dwight Eisenhower, was so classy during his campaign against Stevenson. That it became front page news when Dwight attacked Stevenson, and it wasn’t even an attack, Dwight simply asked Dept. of Labor to contest Stevenson’s claim. How far we’ve fallen from that point 🤷♂️
