@RealTimeWWII the most terrible siege. not sure, but I think about 1/3 of the population perished, mostly from starvation, also from exposure (winters w/o electricity, fuel for heat)
@RealTimeWWII No, the men are just happy with the unfolding situation and are bonding and showing happiness. It's not uncommon in Russia even today. Men also give each other flowers at special occasions today here in Russia. Regards from Saint Petersburg (named Leningrad in 1943).
