  • @TIME Given the myriad of contributing factors along with the long standing isolation and literal ghettoization of large sections of our urban areas where the police are considered and often literally are an army of occupation tactically and politically the violence might be expectd.

  • @TIME You might want to consider that four months in lockdown with God knows how many more to come has pretty much driven us all to a state of semi paranoia. It's not surprising that in the worst hit and least resourced areas social order has broken down.

  • @TIME The question is, if the local police departments like Chicago's 12,000+ man force with local knowledge and experience can't solve the problem, what do you expect a handful of federal agents to do? The problem has been there for decades and there are no quick and easy solutions.
