I feel like the acknowledgement of new RnB has grown big time. Summer Walker, Sza, Jhene Aiko, Snoh Allegra, Teyana Taylor, etc. It's just now everyone has to have a vibe/ aesthetic like the wave of female rappers. The 90s RnB isn't going to come back unless sampled

R&B playlists songs, rarely match the theme of the playlists on most of these streaming services. I remember hearing Daniel Caesar - Blessed on a 'Feeling Sexy' playlist.

R&B teams need to work harder. The artists are doing their jobs. Why can't people find R&B as easy as they find hip hop music? Is it the streaming services? Cause the product isn't lacking.

Because all y’all simpletons like is dope production and y’all think that shit go .. half the time these rappers don’t even be saying shit but y’all bump it ...music is suffering because of this pandemic

The level of talent in the genre is crazy. But it needs to be more accessible to listeners. Once those doors open, we gon be in a new era of RnB that’s been waiting to hit

It’s hard to sell R&B to the masses in the eyes of the Labels so they end up either trying to make them do “pop” sounding records or they get put on the back burner and under served

Packaging? Visuals, photos videos. I don’t think r&b artists create “moments”. These rappers are creating moments. These rappers are everywhere.

Average consumer is checking for what's on the Billboard 200. The music is there people just aren't looking. Even the DSP's have made it easy to access these tracks and put together some pretty solid playlists just to discover new music. No one's doing the work tho.

It doesn’t help on the Apple Music browse section, when you go on rnb it shows albums from last month or last year the recent albums you can’t always find dem sighs

Who are the publicists, sites, etc focusing on pushing current r&b (not just mainstream acts) rn? Other than the fans on socials.

I feel like it's less about the teams themselves and more about building a unique identity or story around the artist. And when it comes to Canada, well, the industry has never respected R&B.

It’s because white people dont like R&B unless it’s coming from other white people. Simple as that.
