Barack Obama's victory tweet was the most retweeted tweet ever with more than 800K retweets.
A room in the executive office building near the White House is suddenly among the busiest in DC after admin installed a coronavirus test machine and said everyone who meets with Trump — along w/many aides — have to take a test. W/@DavidNakamura:
This is the subject of a years-long debate in my house. I'm #TeamAshley all the way on this one. https://twitter.com/AshleyRParker/status/1247682466976010240 …
Tho I will say the only time I have had a fantastic home-cooked Ottolenghi meal was by your husband. 🥘
What's the best cook book you've bought in the last few years that was not written by Alison Roman or Ottolenghi ???
Controversial opinion: Ottolenghi cookbook is overrated. Yes, the photos are beautiful, as is the thick cover material. BUT the recipes are WAY too hard for a casual cook and you can never find his ingredients — dried barberries, 2 tbsp Pilpelchuma — spur of the moment.
This is *literally* my and 9-year-old Zoe Bender’s all time favorite song right now! (Tho we are partial to the Raffi original version...) 🍌🍌🍌

The new press team has plans to “rapidly professionalize the operation” inside the White House, say people familiar with the discussions: McEnany expected to reinstate briefings post-covid, rapid response team to be emphasized, & reporter inquiries will be returned.
Something I learned today: At the Mount Sinai hospital in South Nassau, Long Island, every time a COVID-19 patient recovers enough to leave, they play “Here Comes the Sun” over the PA system. Across all Mount Sinai hospitals, more than 1,100 patients have been discharged so far.
"My mask and hood can get covered in fluid. Usually it’s tiny droplets. Aerosolized virus can float around. You’re basically right next to the nuclear reactor." Just a brutal, brilliantly told story through @elisaslow by a 33-year-old on the front lines
Sometimes @talkingfedspod’s roundtable format just hits on all cylinders. & It did in this ALL-NEW episode w/ @davidfrum @AshleyRParker & @matthewamiller discussing the natl, polit, and intl ramific of the Admin’s erratic handling of the virus. Link at: http://bit.ly/qualludecorona
I started thinking: I’m 33 years old. I don’t have any kids at home. I don’t live with older relatives. About an hour after the meeting, I emailed my supervisor. “I’m happy to do this. It should be me.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/04/05/youre-basically-right-next-nuclear-reactor/ … via @elisaslow
